Coast Guard Auxiliarists, state boating agency and state park outreach specialists and other leaders in paddler safety… mark your calendars for April 26th through May 1st, 2027. Be on the lookout for further information about Spring AUXPAD Training 2027 in Charleston, South Carolina!
The Coast Guard Auxiliary’s Paddlecraft Safety Program (AUXPAD) is a partnership with the American Canoe Association (ACA) to promote paddlecraft safety. SAT2026 offered 5 instructional tracks to prepare Auxiliarists and state boating specialists as spokespersons for paddlecraft safety. Each of the tracks will included 4 full days of instruction, both on the water and ashore. With 10 openings for each track.
Charleston offers excellent coastal paddling venues, proximity to Charleston International Airport, historic sites and many other attractions. The principal training site was James Island County Park, with great facilities for kayak training, meetings and lodging. Applications for SAT2027 will be accepted from Auxiliarists and state boating specialists, with priority given to those who can explain clearly how they plan to use this training to promote paddlecraft safety.
